Memory Boxes
"Making someone feel seen, heard and understood is the loudest way to love them".

Pay it Forward
For Ada's 2nd birthday (2023) I came together with a handful of other beautiful bereaved mamas to create memory boxes for a few of our local maternity hospitals.
We combined our resources along with donations from family, friends and the loss community and were able to create 38 Memory Boxes in honour of our beautiful babies who couldn't stay. They were packed to the brim and absolutely over flowing with love.
These boxes were donated to two of our largest public maternity hospitals, King Edwards and Fiona Stanley. I was also able to donate another four boxes on Ada's birthday to Osborne Park Hospital where she was born.
It was such a meaningful way to channel my grief and manage my emotions around her birthday milestone. Something I wasn't capable of the previous year. It also inspired me to continue creating beautiful memory boxes as an ongoing way to give back.
There is nothing you can receive in that moment that will make the pain go away, or even ease. However, it is my hope that receiving one of our boxes will go a small way to helping families feel held, understood and seen in their immense grief, with a gentle knowing that they are not alone.
